Intentional or Unintentional?
We all know that a large percentage of "creative types" are gay, so you have to wonder if maybe some of them just couldn't help but get a laugh at the expenses of their naive heterosexual customers? How could anyone not understand the implications of the tag line "Lure him away from the poolboy?"
Some of these illustrations are just oozing with homo-eroticism while others are just campy or use the word Gay. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Everyone thought Clavin Klein was being so "cutting edge" with his homo-erotic under wear ads in the 80's; this Munsingwear ad was 30 years old at that time.
